The American Red Cross is a not-for-profit, humanitarian organization led by
volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International
Red Cross Movement. The very foundation of the Red Cross is its volunteer work force. More than 1.2 million
people volunteer with the Red Cross nationwide. One in every 200 Americans is a Red Cross Volunteer. As
the largest humanitarian organization in the United States, the Red Cross depends on volunteers to
accomplish the organization's mission.
Volunteers in the Greater Ozarks - Arkansas Region serve as greeters,
escorts and canteen observers. They register blood donors and serve as Hospital Services drivers. See the table below
for a listing of the volunteer job opportunities available with the Red Cross in Arkansas, West Tennessee
and Southwest Missouri.
