Identification is required to donate blood.
Why are we doing this?
To ensure that our donors are properly identified in Red Cross records, are not
currently disqualified from donating, and can be reached for follow up if needed.
What is acceptable identification?
The preferred identifier is a government-issued photo ID
such as a driver's license or a Red Cross blood donor card.
For the safety of your children and the blood supply,
children may not accompany parents in the collection areas. Also, young children may not be
left unattended in the waiting area. We will be happy to re-schedule your appointment.

Fremont/Newark driving instructions:
From Oakland(North):
Hwy 880 South to the Mowry Avenue exit. Head west on Mowry Avenue and go
past the Newpark Mall, then turn left onto Cedar Boulevard. Turn right into
the first entrance into the Cedar Village Shopping Center. Blood Center is
behind Taco Bell and next door to Blimpie's.
From San Jose (South):
Hwy 880 North toward Oakland/Sacramento to the Mowry Avenue exit. Head west
on Mowry Avenue and go past the Newpark Mall, then turn left onto Cedar
Boulevard. Turn right into the first entrance into the Cedar Village
Shopping Center. Blood Center is behind Taco Bell and next door to
Blimpie's.
