WHY
WE NEED HEROES!

Over
500 families receive assistance from the Red Cross each year
after experiencing a disaster, mainly home fires.
Each
year, 50,000 lives could be saved if automated external
defibrillators (AEDs) were readily available and people knew
how to use them.
Nearly
2,000 local seniors and people with disabilities rely on Red
Cross Community Transportation to get them to their medical
appointments.
Over
21,000 people in central Ohio received training in the
lifesaving skills of First Aid, CPR and AED last year, saving
an untold amount of lives.
The
Red Cross provided 52,613 individuals with Community Disaster
Education through presentations and vital materials teaching
disaster preparedness and prevention.
