Every year, 350,000 people in the United States die from Sudden cardiac Arrest (SCA). Most deaths occur before the patient reaches a hospital. Unlike a heart attack, SCA provides no early warning symptoms. Every minute the patient goes without defibrillation, which delivers an electric current to an irregularly beating heartthe chance of survival decreases by ten percent. To save an SCA victim, you have to give the heart a life-saving shock from a defibrillator within four to six minutes of an attack. The Heartstream FR2 AED is an exceptional lifesaving device, featuring simple, two-button operation, voice prompts, a long-life battery and daily self-testing capabilities. It's designed for people with marginal training. With the optional electrocardiogram screen and data management system, it records the heart's progress, giving doctors the necessary data to expedite further medical care. The Heartstream FR2 AED is now in use on airplanes and at airports, at professional sporting events and in shopping malls. At Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, it helped save 11 lives since it was implemented in 1999. We would like to extend the FR2 AED's lifesaving benefits to even more venues, including golf clubs, resorts and office buildings. The goal is to make the Heartstream FR2 AED as accessible in public places as fire extinguishers, so that every day, more lives can be saved with this affordable, easy-to-use device. It would be our pleasure to meet with you and discuss an AED program that will meet your organization's needs. If you should have any questions or would like to schedule a meeting, please call Sage Hansen Lacy at (407) 894-4141 extension 5648.
