The new Swimming and Water Safety Program has been released. Below is the pricing for the books and materials for the Water Safety Program. Please contact us to place an order.

We will be hosting an update session at the chapter (14600 Beadle Lake Road in Battle Creek) on April 20th from 6pm -8pm. The cost of the update training is $25 per person.

If you choose to update on your own, you can go to the instructors corner, log in and take the update on-line. You will then submit the verification form to us at the local chapter by mail or fax. (You can also scan it and e-mail it if you would like to.)

Materials Pricing Pricing for the Swimming and Water Safety program materials is presented below.

Swimming and Water Safety (r.04) program materials cannot be used in an instructor course after August 31, 2009.

In order to maintain authorization, current Water Safety instructors must complete the following steps:

1. Orient to the Swimming and Water Safety (r.09) program materials by:

Completing the online instructor update;

OR

B. Attending a Group Orientation conducted by a Health and Safety Program administrator or a Water Safety (r.09) instructor trainer;

AND

2. Return a completed orientation verification form (available on Instructor’s Corner and on page 12 of this Program Release Connection) to the instructor’s unit of authorization.

Once instructors turn in the completed and signed verification form, the chapter issues an Instructor Authorization Certificate (C3005) indicating Water Safety (r.09) or instructors may access the instructor authorization transcript in the Learning Management System. They may then teach courses in the Swimming and Water Safety (r.09) program.

Water Safety instructors and instructor trainers, are required to orient to the new materials by December 31, 2009.

YOU CANNOT TEACH THE OLD MATERIALS AFTER AUGUST 2009.

Please, don't wait until the last minute to update. At some unknown point, we will not be able to order (old)material from our supplier.

We suggest that you update as soon as possible and start teaching the new materials.
