prerequisite for other classes you may want to take

Foundations of Disaster Mental Health (Professional
Only) -
Introduces participants to the key
concepts, knowledge and skills required of anyone assigned to
Disaster Mental Health.
WMD/T -
Creates an awareness of the
complex response issues and concerns
associated with Weapons of Mass Destruction/Terrorism incidents.

Fundamentals of Chapter Operations
Management - The
purpose of this course is to prepare Red Cross employees and
leadership volunteers to manage a small disaster relief
operation, which is chapter managed and accounted, and at
least partially funded by the Disaster Relief Fund.

Mass Care -
Provides an overview of
the activities performed by the Mass Care group on a
disaster relief operation.

Shelter Operations -
Provides participants
with knowledge of Red Cross policies and procedures for
setting up, running and closing a shelter during a
disaster.
prerequisite: Mass Care.
Client Casework
-
This basic-level disaster
services course trains Red Cross caseworkers how to conduct
effective client interviews and provide appropriate
assistance to help meet a client's immediate disaster-caused
or disaster-aggravate needs.
