In keeping with
today's fast-paced information age, the American Red Cross
Rome Area Chapter announces it’s participation in the
Blended Learning First Aid/CPR/AED Program — a new way
to offer Red Cross first aid, adult CPR and automated
external defibrillation (AED) training.
“Red Cross Blended Learning is flexible
and self-paced and best of all is available online 24
hours a day, seven days a week” says Devin McDonald, Rome
Area Chapter Health & Safety Coordinator. “Course-takers
have the option of going through the lessons in full or
abbreviated form and can test out of lessons as well.
Web-based training enables course-takers to access courses
at their convenience.”
The first portion of the training is
completed online, so each course participant can take
the training from any computer meeting the minimum operating
system requirements and has internet access. For the second
part of the training, a Red Cross instructor conducts
a skills session where participants' skills are practiced
and assessed.
