Care and Share
Care and Share is a home energy assistance program that provides help to pay overdue energy bills, provide for repair or replacement of heating equipment and for weatherization. To be eligible for Care and Share one must be at least sixty years of age or have someone living in their home who is at least 60 years of age, or be receiving disability income, or have a medical emergency. In addition to natural gas and electric heat, Care and Share pay for any kind of fuel including wood, propane and coal.
Care and Share is a partnership between the Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation and the American Red Cross and has been helping families across the Niagara Mohawk service territory in New York State since 1984.
