Injury Prevention

The American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED program offers your workplace a variety of one-hour injury control and injury prevention modules. They may be presented to your employees at your safety meetings, or you can combine a module with your First aid and CPR training. Participants will receive certification for attending.

Preventing Disease Transmission

Preventing Disease Transmission is a 2-hour training module for employers and employees who, while on the job, may be exposed to blood or other body fluids that could cause infection. This module addresses how diseases occur, diseases of common concern, how to protect against disease transmission, and what to do if an exposure occurs. Employers can offer this program as part of their training compliance with OSHA bloodborne pathogens regulation.

The purpose of the American Red Cross training modules is to give individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and reduce their risk of injuries. These modules contain awareness information and are not intended to substitute for worksite health & safety training, policies, or procedures. Employees will each receive a booklet, and be issued a Red Cross certificate.

Ergonomics simply means "improving the fit between your body and an activity". This module will help you to know: What ergonomics is; What musculoskeletal disorders (MSD's) are; How to identify and reduce the risks for MSD's at work and at home; and How to perform exercises to help reduce the risk of MSD's.
