We’d like to thank all of our sponsors, players, and volunteers for their support of the Union County Chapter of the American Red Cross 10th Annual Golf Outing. The benefit to the community is tremendous in supporting the mission of the American Red Cross in our community.
This past year, we have reached out to more community members and workplaces than ever before. Over 20 families received immediate assistance from us after personal tragedy. We were able to send a local woman to assist in relief efforts after the California Wild Fires. Community member lives were saved by responders being CPR and AED trained. Over 25 military families were assisted during personal emergencies. Countless lives were saved by the donation of blood at Union County area Bloodmobiles. Over 1000 young people became lifeguard certified, babysitter trained, gained advanced swimming skills and even hosted bloodmobiles at their schools. It takes over $500 to assist one family devastated by a house fire. The blood donation efforts take over $1000 per month. We’re committed to increased youth outreach this next year.
Our outing NET Donation is $8500. We are 100% community funded(no federal, state or local funding) and are a United Way Agency. Truly, we’re here because of you. Again, on behalf of the Union County Chapter and the community, thank you.
