Thrivent Financial for Lutherans
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans of Murrells Inlet hosts a Join Hands Day each year. This year the volunteers joined forces with the local American Red Cross. The volunteers spent a total of 41 hours weeding, replacing soil in the flower beds, planting red and white flowers in the beds, feeding them plant food, watering, and covering with pine straw. The yard was mowed and the yard waste was taken to the dump.
Home Depot donated several broken bags of soil plus some perennial flowers. Two flower baskets were placed by the main doorway and a hanging basket was placed in the yard under the tree. The group stopped long enough to take a quick snapshot.
