Life Guarding:
Teaches skills, including: aquatic-specific first aid, CPR for the
professional rescuer, accommodations for patrons with disabilities,
and basic water rescue skills. You must be a least 15 years old.
Waterfront Life Guarding Module:
Provides training and skills for individuals wanting to guard in
a non-surf, open-water facility. This course is an addition to the
basic life guard course.
Water Park Life Guarding Module:
Provides training and skills for individuals wanting to guard at
a water park facility. This course is an addition to the
basic life guard course.
Head Life Guard Module:
Teaches skills, including: minimizing risk, injury prevention,
emergency response, lifeguard selection, and teambuilding.
This course is an addition to the basic life guard course.
WSI (Water Safety Instructor):
Provides training in course and lesson planning to teach
basic swimming skills, diving, and competitive/recreational 
swimming, recognizing common skill errors, providing
corrective feedback, motor learning, hydrodynamic principles,
cultural diversity, fitness and training, disabilities, and other
conditions. Students must be 17 years, or older.
Lifeguard Instructor (pre-test required):
Provides training in materials and methods for conducting
lifeguard training sessions and evaluating participants' skills.
Guard Start:
Gives you the knowledge, attitude and skills to prepare you
for lifeguard. Student must be between 11 to 14 years old.
WHALES TALES:
This course was designed and written for use by classroom
teachers in elementary school K-6 th grades. No prior water
safety training is necessary for the teacher. This course was
conducted for water safety program to develop the skills and
knowledge that contributes to safety in, on and around the water.
No one knows how many lives have been saved or accidents
prevented because of this program, but we know it has help
reduce the number of drowning. The packet includes basic lesson
plans, fact sheets, activity sheets, colored posters and a video.
