Disaster Services volunteers serve in a number of capacities, including damage assessment, shelter operations, shelter managers, family service case work, logistics, government and social liaison, physical and mental health services, mass feeding, accounting/records/reports, disaster management, and emergency communications.
Some of these volunteers serve primarily during a disaster; others work
year-round, planning and preparing for our community's needs. Three of
our most frequent disasters, in Florence and the surrounding Pee Dee area, are
fire, tornadoes, and hurricanes.

classes are held click here.
