Our Mission

The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization, led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, which provides relief to victims of disaster and helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.

GIVE THE GIFT THAT SAVES THE DAY

In this season of hope—when you want your gifts to really matter—there’s one gift you can always count on to save the day.

It will save the day when the next disaster strikes, or when a neighbor’s house burns down. It will be there when someone needs lifesaving blood, or the comfort of a helping hand.

It will connect military families with their loved ones in service, and provide training in CPR, aquatics safety, and first aid. It will spread goodwill and change lives around the world. Hope. It’s the gift you give to the American Red Cross.

Please donate today.

PURCHASE A GIFT THROUGH THE 2009 RED CROSS HOLIDAY GIVING CATALOG at www.redcross.org. THANK YOU!

The American Red Cross Piedmont Chapter was given a large number of hand-made quilts from the ladies of New Prospect Baptist Church. The quilts were donated to be given to fire and other disaster victims this winter when they have had to leave their home unexpectedly due to a fire or other disaster.
The church also donated hand-made toboggans for the upcoming winter months as well. Donations like these mean so much to our clients when they have lost everything in a fire or other disaster. It provides a little comfort and stability in an otherwise chaotic situation. We greatly appreciate the hard work, dedication, and donations from the ladies of the New Prospect Baptist Church and students of the Sewing Construction class at Chapman High School. We could not assist our clients without their support.

SEVERE WEATHER INFORMATION

AT YOUR FINGERTIPS

AT&T is proud to have the local chapter of the American Red Cross as a sponsor of the Hurricane/Severe Weather Planning section of the AT&T Real Yellow Pages.  This important section, located in the Community Information Pages at the front of the Real Yellow Pages, includes helpful information in the event of hurricanes, floods, tornados and severe thunderstorms.  In addition, this section provides information on what to pack in a first aid kit, post-hazard checklist, repair checklist, submitting insurance claims and important phone numbers and contacts that all residents and businesses should know in the event of severe weather.  As the most preferred yellow page directory in the area, the AT&T Real Yellow Pages is proud to partner with the American Red Cross in keeping our community informed and safe during the event of severe weather.
